It’s almost been a year since I moved to NYC, and I’m committed to trying out the best restaurants New York has to offer!
You’ve probably heard that it’s super hard to get a reservation at Carbone, it’s just that good. Reservations are released 30 days in advance, and are usually gone within minutes. Located in the heart of Greenwich Village in New York City, Carbone has quickly become a go-to spot for celebrities, locals and tourists alike.
I’ve managed to score reservations twice now, and I will say that it’s worth the fight. The first time that I went, I tried the infamous Spicy Rigatoni Vodka. The second time, I had the lobster Ravioli – both of these dishes were just too good! We also tried the Caesar alla ZZ – a caesar salad made table-side, as well as Mario’s meatballs. I don’t think I would order the Caesar salad again, but the meatballs were also a hit.The in-house sommelier recommended a champagne that paired perfectly each time.
But Carbone isn’t just about the food. The restaurant has such an inviting ambiance with its dim lighting and black-and-white checkered floors. The service is top-notch, with attentive and friendly waitstaff, dressed to the nines in their tuxedos.
Overall, if you’re in the mood for classic Italian-American fare with a side of old-school New York charm, Carbone is definitely worth a visit!
Enjoy!
